The alumni started its activities in August, 2001. The need for quality books in the college library had been a matter deserving attention for the past six years. Keeping in mind the importance of books to an art student, the alumni decided to contribute the much needed art books to the college.

The idea that germinated in Bangalore, gained instant approval from ex-students spread across the Middle East, Europe and America. Each ex-student was asked to contribute one book of his choice to the college and this brought about an overwhelming response of over 85 books. Valued at around Rs. 1.5 lakhs, these books were handed over to the college library by The Director of Technical Education on behalf of the alumni.

After the successful handing over of art books to the college library, the alumni plans to launch the college website as it's second activity. The web site aims to provide the students the finest opportunity to interact with the art community.

The site will give the college the deserving recognition in the international art scene and also act as an excellent window for the students, ex-students and the faculty to showcase their works. Working towards providing the students accurate and essential information about their opportunities, guidelines for further studies, scholarships and more, the web site promises to be a meeting place for students, ex-students, faculty and for art lovers as a whole.
